About Maggie Wong

Maggie Wong is an art graduate from CO1 School of Visual Arts. Having lived for some time in Ireland and Japan, countries with distinct cultures, she returned to Hong Kong to devote herself to painting. Wong’s imagination and feeling of anxiety fill her canvases, in which she tries to express her tangled thoughts.

Artist Statement

My works with a fondness for human figures with eyes shut tight in scenes of tranquility, very often by the lakeside. I believe that closing my eyes help me explore the different selves within me, parts of myself I may not be aware of.
